Agoura's newest Italian restaurant - classy, authentic, welcoming, and incredibly delicious.

Pictured above is the Pappardelle, a wide thin egg noodle with slow braised beef ricotta and parmigiano meatballs in a pomarola sauce. This is one of the lighter pastas on the menu, and every bite was absolutely sensational.

Known for their incredible wood-fired pizzas and creative pasta dishes, Basta, without a doubt, serves the best Italian food in the area. Not to mention, the workers - from the hostesses and the waiters to the owners and the chefs - all are so genuinely kind and friendly to the customers, which makes the dining experience all-around amazing.

The Food

On this occasion, my friends and I decided to stick to a few pasta dishes and a dessert to share, for the portions here are on the larger side. We ordered the Pappardelle, as seen above, along with the Rigatoni dish, which was served with one of the best and richest bolognese sauces I have ever had. For dessert, we ordered the Butter Cake, which was warm, lemony, and perfectly satisfying to end our meal with.

$-$$

While the dishes at Basta may seem on the expensive side, the quality of the food is well worth the price, and honestly, I felt that the prices seemed a bit low for how wonderful everything tasted and was presented. Not to mention, a night at Basta also means fantastic customer service, so you are guaranteed to have a very pleasant experience at this restaurant. My mission now is to try every dish at Basta - I know I will love them all!
